Zahid Gogon is a Dhaka based highly imaginative filmmaker with a minimum 10 years of experience making a variety of films for a variety of industries. Strong passion for creating independent films, but also have a knack for creating commercials, commercial productions, documentaries. His remarkable works are Prem Puran, Ekti Mrittu = Teen Bigha Jomi (A death = 3 Bighas of Land), A Book Behind the Shoes, Rumor: A Social Tumor, Nurturing Connections and 18 Hours in 180 Seconds. He has won several awards in several National and International film festivals for his work. To mention, he won Tareque Masud Young Filmmaker Award-2014. Honorable Jury Mention Award- Dada Shaheb Phalke International Film Festival- India- 2019, Jury Award- Kuala Lumpur International Film Festival 2020.
Zahid Gogon completed his Bachelors in Media Studies and Journalism from University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh in 2015 where his major was Filmmaking. He also completed his Masters in Communication from the same department in 2022. He recently joined his Alma Mater as a Part- Time Faculty.
Zahid Gogon enjoys working with a variety of actors and crew members at many different experience levels. He also has a knack for bringing out the best in an actor, script or production. Currently, he is involved in several fictional Projects. He has a dream of removing social inequalities from Bangladesh through his work.
